Kariba’s stand is a show-stopper

No wonder Jodie is looking pleased with herself. At Monday’s Yorkshire Business Market in Harrogate, Kariba’s seasonal take on the Grow Your Business theme received a nomination for ‘Best Medium-sized’ stand’. Featuring a colourful and Spring-like ‘beanstalk’ intertwined with our key word offerings – Wonderful Websites, Beautiful Brochures, Successful Social Media etc – the stand also featured an animated presentation of our website work. Passers by, enraptured by what they saw, also received a ‘matching’ Grow Your Business brochure and Show Discounts leaflet.
Since Monday’s exhibition we’ve been busy following up leads ranging from a complete re-brand to some rather nifty website builds. It just shows, ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it!’

Say hello to PapaPC

When Kariba’s creative director, Chris, heard that his father (Alan) was in danger of losing his job in the motor industry, the family rallied round and came up with a new business proposition for him. Chris realised there was a market for computer support for people over the age of 50 from someone who was IT proficient, such as Alan, but also spoke the same non-techy style of language. After a lot of thinking – largely over a steaming Shepherd’s Pie one Sunday afternoon, Chris’s Mum, Elaine, came up with the new name for the business, PapaPC. A day or so later and PapaPC had a stunning visual identity designed by Kariba Stu, web hosting and email and a lovely advert placed in one of the local ‘doorstep’ style directories.

Kariba gives eMoves.me a flying start

Your brand isn’t just a symbol or a piece of artwork, it’s about how people perceive your business. Which is why we worked extremely hard to make sure we gave eMoves.me, a new online estate agency business, the best possible chance of success. We started by creating a striking new logo and colour scheme which, when coupled with the strapline ‘buy, sell, move…save’ (also thought up by us) gives the new business purpose and direction.
eMoves.me founder Mark Lloyd is pictured here earlier this week with his striking new For Sale Board, designed by Kariba of course. Says Mark: “I’m totally delighted with the brand Kariba designed for me. Their professionalism and dedication was second to none. Chris and the team have given eMoves.me the best possible start.”

Recession? What recession!!

Few will argue that times are indeed tough. Even the corridors of the Harrogate Business Centre are quieter nowadays. Once a hive of activity, busy and buzzing with commerce, today we’re lucky if we chance upon somebody in the communal kitchen. But at least the Kariba milk doesn’t get nicked any more… (more…)
